The Work You Will Do:
The Deputy General Counsel of Business Regulation (Chief Legal Counsel) works under the direction of the General Counsel and is responsible for directing and overseeing the legal work done in support of the Department's business regulation divisions: Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco; Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics; Hotels and Restaurants; and Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes. This position requires the regular exercise of independent judgment, legal research and writing, analysis of proposed legislation, rulemaking, and trial advocacy. Additionally, the Chief Legal Counsel routinely provides legal advice to the Department's leadership team, including directors and senior management.
