Nevada County is looking for a Chief Fiscal Administrative Officer (CFAO) to oversee administrative and fiscal functions of the Community Development Agency (CDA).
Under general direction, the CFAO for CDA plans, organizes and supervises the work of staff involved in the financial, administrative, or other special functions which support a large department or agency, and performs related work as required.
This is a classification with responsibility for the administrative and support services functions. This class is distinguished from the next higher level of Director which has overall executive responsibility for the functions of the department or Agency. Duties Include:
The CFAO supervises the duties of fiscal and administrative personnel and coordinates all fiscal and administrative operations within the Agency. The CFAO is a key position in CDA whose mission is to provide outstanding customer service through sound and innovative policies and strong leadership. CDA works to enhance the quality of life of county residents through land use planning and permitting, environmental management; to provide public services including agriculture, code and cannabis compliance, road and infrastructure maintenance and improvements, transit, solid waste, and wastewater; to deliver internal services including fleet services, administrative and fiscal; and to promote and support recreation, climate and economic development throughout the community.
