This is professional services work of a supervisory nature in directing and overseeing staff responsible for preparing licensing money transmitters, responding to consumer complaints, and investigating allegations of lending law violations. Responsibilities include assigning work, reviewing progress and findings, and training staff. Supervises subordinate State employees. Work is performed under limited supervision.
This position, plans and directs the work activities of staff who responding to consumer complaints and makes determinations as to which complaints should be investigated for further action. Conducts interviews of complainants and respondents. Drafts document requests, demand letters, settlement agreements hearing notices. Conducts fact findings and makes recommendations regarding licensing of money transmitters. Testifies in formal proceedings occasionally.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to read and analyze financial statements, strong writing skills, ability to think and work independently and to supervise others
Minimum Qualifications:
Four (4) years experience in conducting investigations, negotiating settlements, and preparing agreements.
