The Sportsbook Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing audit activities related to sportsbook operations, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies. This role manages audit staff, performs detailed reviews of wagering transactions and systems, and provides recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of sportsbook financial reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee audits of sportsbook operations including retail and mobile wagering.
Evaluate internal controls, system configurations, and transaction flows for compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Review daily and monthly sportsbook reconciliations, handle variance analysis, and investigate irregularities.
Facilitate clear communication with the sportsbook department to ensure accurate and consistent policy adherence and to maintain accurate variance records.
Develop and maintain audit programs specific to sportsbook systems and processes (betting tickets, risk management, settlements, and payouts).
Collaborate with finance, compliance, IT, and sportsbook operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to control procedures.
Supervise and mentor audit staff, review workpapers, and ensure audit quality and consistency.
Stay informed of evolving gaming regulations, sportsbook technologies, and industry best practices.
Support external audits and regulatory reviews by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Oversee and manage Circa Sports Audit Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5-7 years of audit experience with at least 2 years performing race and sports audits.
Minimum 2-4 years of supervisory role.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, in both written and verbal forms
Strong understanding of sportsbook operations, betting systems, odds management, and risk controls.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for gaming and sports wagering
Experience with data analytics tools and sportsbook management systems (e.g., IGT, Stadium, or similar).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to acquire the necessary gaming licensure as requested
