We are looking for a Full-Time Formulation Chemist. The primary responsibility is for laboratory functions, research & development, customer service; assist with purchasing raw materials.

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Provides technical support for both internal business units and external customers. Travels to job sites when required.

\xc2\xb7 Creates technical documentation, reports, formal letters and emails, and presentations.

\xc2\xb7 Directly assists production operations with problems that could stall production, delay customer orders, or result in non-conforming products.

\xc2\xb7 Formulate new products and maintain existing products. Evaluates new raw materials and potential vendors.

\xc2\xb7 Assist satellite locations and third-party toll producers with quality and production operations.

\xc2\xb7 Develops, facilitates, and executes research and development activities including but not limited to formula entry, and creating SDS and PDS.

\xc2\xb7 Ensures compliance to quality standards; Assist in quality control when necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in managing the company\'s sustainability program and initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Develop production procedures for new products or formula modifications.

\xc2\xb7 Formulate various coating systems and set up production procedures; Adjust formulas in P21.

\xc2\xb7 Effectively interacts with customers, internal sales, and suppliers.

\xc2\xb7 Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, and five or more years of related experience and/or training.

\xc2\xb7 Proficient in database software, development software, inventory, spreadsheets, and word processing.

\xc2\xb7 Commitment to excellence and high standards

\xc2\xb7 Strong organizational, chemical formulating, problem-solving, and analytical skills

\xc2\xb7 Ability to manage priorities and workflow

\xc2\xb7 Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

\xc2\xb7 Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
