Our family-run maple farm is looking for a friendly and hard-working individual to join our growing cafe & market team. The cafe & market proudly serves fresh-baked pastries, specialty coffee beverages, a small-batch locally sourced menu and ice cream daily.

About the Role

Finding Home Farms is seeking a reliable, hands-on

Chef

to run the day-to-day food preparation in our cafe. This is a key role on our team--responsible for the kitchen line during service, ensuring consistent quality, and preparing fresh food items for both immediate service and our takeaway refrigerator case.

We are looking for a candidate who is creative and wants to be part of a team. We have several areas of our business that we are looking to grow and we are looking for the candidate who wants to be part of that.

Unlike a traditional restaurant kitchen, our cafe focuses on

sandwiches, waffles, and fresh prepared foods

. There is very little stovetop cooking, which makes this a fast-paced but approachable environment where organization, efficiency, and attention to detail are more important than classical "line cook" skills.

Responsibilities

Food preparation and service during cafe hours. Kitchen prep before and complete cleanup at the end of each shift. Prepare food items for our takeaway refrigerator case (sandwiches, salads, etc.). Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards. Work collaboratively with the cafe team to deliver consistent, high-quality service. Uphold and contribute to our

Requirements

Must be

18 years or older

with reliable transportation. Prior experience in a kitchen, cafe, or food service environment is desired, but we will train the right candidate. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work efficiently and stay positive in a busy environment. Commitment to maintaining a
