Blue Ribbon Restaurants on the Strip is looking for
a passionate and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. In this role, you'll be the heartbeat of our kitchen, crafting delicious dishes, managing food operations, and ensuring every plate meets our high standards. Responsibilities
Lead food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising staff, managing shift schedules, and maintaining a smooth workflow.
Plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while showcasing culinary creativity and innovation.
Manage inventory control and food production to minimize waste and optimize resources.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations across all kitchen activities.
Coordinate with the catering and banquet teams to deliver exceptional service during large events.
Supervise food handling procedures, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and freshness of ingredients.
Oversee kitchen staff training in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment that promotes efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Qualifications
Proven culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining or restaurant management.
Extensive banquet experience along with expertise in catering operations.
Demonstrated supervising and team management skills with the ability to lead a diverse kitchen staff.
Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, inventory management, and food handling practices.
Experience in food service management with skills in inventory control and kitchen operations.
Strong cooking skills complemented by experience in menu planning and food production.
Familiarity with dietary department requirements and accommodating special dietary restrictions.
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards during busy shifts.
Broad understanding of hospitality principles including serving, bartending, and overall guest experience enhancement.
