Production team members rotate in various jobs to fill boxes with hot cheese while following all safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. In the barrel cutter, tub filler, and float position, you will comply with all safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Team members work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and 12-15 Fridays per year depending on business need. Starting pay rate is $20.00 per hour and you're eligible for a $.50/hour increase after 90 days of employment.
New hires are eligible for a $500 bonus after (3) months of employment and a second $500 bonus after (6) months of employment!

Duties/Responsibilities:
Barrel Cutter:
Clamp barrels of natural cheese from a hoist and guide hoist to the barrel cutter platform
Safely remove corrugated cardboard from the barrels of cheese
Operate automatic cheese cutter to cut barrels of cheese into thirty-pound slabs
Disassemble and sanitize equipment and utensils used during the day at the end of shift
Any other task or duties assigned by Supervisors or Management
Tools/Equipment Used: pallet movers, cheese hoist, cheese cutter, cheese grinder, wheeled carts, scales, and utility knives
Tub Filler:
Order correct flavor of cheeses from the dock
Verify and record accurate lot numbers on production paperwork
Lift and dump slabs of cheese from the Cheese Cutter platform into wheeled carts
Push wheeled carts to a scale to be weighed (approximately 475 lbs.) and hook it to a hoist that automatically lifts the tubs of cheese into the cheese grinder
Any other task or duties assigned by supervisors
Disassemble and clean-up equipment and utensils used during shift and wash the floor with hoses or squeegees at the end of their shift
Required Skills/Abilities
: Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor.
Must have basic math skills and English communication skills.
Ability to understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Ability to work safety and follow safety requirements.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of six (6) months of related work experience or training is preferred.
Physical Requirements
:
This position involves: continuous lifting of 10lbs, occasional lifting of 25lbs, carrying of objects up to 50lbs., continuous standing for long periods and duration of the shift, and occasional walking.
