The Chauffeur is responsible to enhance the overall Resident experience through the provision of exceptional oversight and implementation of the Facets\xe2\x84\xa2 program, providing the residents opportunities for participation through transportation. This is to be handled in The Sterling Touch\xc2\xae friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of Resident satisfaction. This position is under the general guidance of the Director of Facets\xe2\x84\xa2, in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices and philosophy.

Essential Functions:
  • The Chauffeur participates in Start Sterling! line up every day.
  • The Chauffeur greets the Residents, guests, fellow employees and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • The Chauffeur drives the van, bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs and in accordance with scheduled appointments and Facets\xe2\x84\xa2 calendar of events.
  • The Chauffeur provides the residents\' opportunities for participation in transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Facets\xe2\x84\xa2 or Facets\xe2\x84\xa2 Assistant in supporting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
  • Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van. Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Clean and wash vehicle; housekeeping duties on bus as required.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.

Licenses or Certificates:

  • Class D - Chauffeur License in Iowa

Schedule:
  • Part-time Hours
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends
