Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Part-Time Change Manager to lead the people side of change for our ServiceNow implementation. This role is responsible for driving awareness, readiness, and adoption across the organization through clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and direct training delivery.

The ideal candidate is an experienced change leader who can design and execute communication, training, and adoption strategies--balancing strategic alignment with hands-on delivery within a flexible, part-time schedule.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development, related field or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in change management, communications, or enterprise transformation. Proven success developing and delivering training for enterprise IT implementations (ServiceNow experience strongly preferred). Excellent communication and presentation skills, including comfort leading live and remote training.

Preferred:

Experience working with ITSM, HRSD, or other ServiceNow modules. Certification in Prosci or similar change management methodology preferred. Strong understanding of IT operations or corporate technology environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within a part-time capacity.

Key Competencies

Strong communicator and trainer--able to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Empathetic and skilled at influencing across teams and levels. Results-oriented, with a focus on user experience and measurable adoption. Collaborative teacher and coach who builds capability within teams, not just delivers outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Change Strategy & Planning

Develop and maintain a practical change management plan aligned with the ServiceNow implementation roadmap. Identify stakeholder impacts, assess organizational readiness, and recommend actions to minimize disruption. Collaborate closely with IT project managers and business sponsors to align change activities with project milestones. Conduct and explain change management risk evaluations to identify potential adoption and engagement challenges. Share the tools, framework, and thought process used for risk evaluation with the project core team to build awareness, develop internal capability, and foster a culture of shared accountability for change success.

Communication & Engagement

Develop and distribute targeted communications explaining the purpose, benefits, and status of the ServiceNow rollout. Partner with business and IT leaders to deliver consistent messaging and build excitement around adoption. Facilitate stakeholder feedback sessions and use insights to refine communication and training efforts.

Training & Enablement

Design, build, and deliver training materials tailored to different user groups and business functions. Conduct live, remote, and recorded training sessions to prepare users for ServiceNow adoption. Create supporting resources, including quick reference guides, walkthrough videos, and FAQs. Continuously refine materials based on feedback and post-launch support needs.

Adoption & Measurement

Share change management tools and risk evaluation frameworks to build internal capability and foster shared ownership of outcomes. Define and track adoption metrics and feedback to measure change effectiveness. Identify areas of resistance and proactively address them with communication or training interventions. Support long-term sustainment through refresher training, continuous improvement, and user engagement strategies.

Success Criteria:

Stakeholder Readiness:

Stakeholder groups demonstrate readiness for ServiceNow adoption, as measured by training completion and positive survey responses.

Sustained Usage:

ServiceNow is actively and consistently used by targeted groups, with usage metrics meeting or exceeding predefined benchmarks.

Platform Adoption:

A measurable increase in support tickets within three months post-launch to confirm that the organization is using the service portal instead of other communication channels (phone calls, messages, emails).

Continuous Improvement:

Training materials and communication strategies are refined based on user feedback and adoption data.

Shared Ownership:

Stakeholders participate in change management activities and demonstrate shared accountability for successful adoption.

Why Join Us

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a major IT transformation--helping shape how employees interact with technology and processes--while maintaining the flexibility of a part-time role. You'll lead both the strategy and hands-on execution that ensures our ServiceNow implementation is adopted, sustained, and successful. Along the way, you'll empower the team with change management tools, risk assessment techniques, and practical experience to continue driving organizational change long after the project ends.
