The CGI Team Lead is responsible for overseeing technical execution, mentoring engineers and technicians, and optimizing production workflows within the CGI department.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the CGI Team Lead serves as the key technical and operational coordinator, ensuring projects meet quality standards, deadlines, and cost targets while driving continuous improvement and team development.

Lead CGI production on a team developing software that provides a state-of-the-art real time simulation experience for railroad engineer training and certification. This work includes:
Manage the development of track network and terrain which constitutes the basis for reproducing the 3D environment of a train simulator.
o This process is based on public GIS databases or data provided by our customers.
o The data could be Track Charts (CAD Drawings for the track layouts), electronic data, GIS shapefiles or other type and will describe the track elevation, curvatures, and other characteristics.
Manage 3D object development. The ideal candidate will understand the process for creating captivating virtual environments and possess strong skills in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
Manage CGI resources to recreate cities, landscapes, and deliver high-quality 3D environments.
Qualifications:
Hard Skills:
o Understanding of 3D environments and graphics generation.
o Proficiency in Blender for realistic 3D object modeling and rendering, or proven expertise in Autodesk Maya or 3ds Max if Blender is not the primary tool.
o Strong experience with UV unwrapping and UV mapping, ensuring clean, efficient layouts for high-quality textures.
o Advanced proficiency in Substance Painter for high-quality texturing and detailed surface work.
o Proven Unreal Engine experience with Blueprints for visual scripting and Data Assets for structured data management.
o Ability to write scripts or code (Perl, C++, Python, Javascript, etc...).
o Experience with GIS tools (Global Mapper, QGIS or ArcGIS) and GIS data manipulation.
