Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT)

with strong phlebotomy skills to join our Pittsburgh collection team. This is a unique opportunity to work with healthy, happy dogs while helping save countless animal lives every single day.

About the Role

Each morning starts at our Pittsburgh office, where the team loads up our company vehicle and heads out together to scheduled donation events at partner hospitals, dog daycares, and other community locations. No two days are exactly the same -- it's an active, mobile position that combines technical skill, teamwork, and genuine compassion.

This is a

physical role

that involves standing for long periods, handling large-breed dogs, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. You'll have plenty of interaction with donors, pet owners, and partner staff, making strong communication skills and professionalism a must.

What You'll Do

Perform jugular blood collections on canine donors Conduct pre-donation health screenings and eligibility evaluations Process, label, and store blood products following established protocols Perform blood typing and assist with product preparation Maintain accurate records and handle samples with precision Build relationships with recurring donors and represent NAVBB at off-site events

What We're Looking For

Current

CVT/LVT license in Pennsylvania

(required) Minimum

2 years of veterinary experience

with advanced phlebotomy skills Confidence handling large dogs Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Dependability, initiative, and adaptability -- we're a small, tight-knit team that relies on each other
