Position Overview

Tutor Partners is seeking

certified or former high school teachers

to provide private, virtual tutoring for students in grades 9-12. We are hiring experienced educators across three key subject areas:

High School Mathematics

(Algebra I/II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus)

High School ELA/Writing

(academic writing, literacy, literary analysis, research writing)

High School Sciences

(Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy & Physiology, Environmental Science)

Tutors will deliver high-quality, personalized 1:1 support to help students strengthen academic skills, boost confidence, and improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized virtual tutoring sessions in your subject area(s) of expertise Deliver clear, engaging instruction that supports comprehension, skill development, and academic success Assist students with assignments, study skills, test preparation, and concept mastery Give actionable feedback to help students grow academically Communicate progress with students and families professionally and consistently Maintain dependable scheduling and professionalism in a virtual setting

Qualifications

Valid teaching credential

or

former certified high school teacher Recent experience teaching or tutoring

virtually

(required) Strong subject knowledge in at least one of the following:

+ Mathematics
+ ELA/Writing
+ Sciences
Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students Ability to break down and explain complex concepts clearly Reliable computer, webcam, and high-speed internet
