The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing and filling prescriptions and other healthcare products for patients and consumers under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Normal operating hours Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm. Must be available to work weekends on rotation.
We are looking for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join our team!
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Accurately typing new orders - Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the online pharmacy prescription system.
Communicating with nurses and providers over the phone - Provide quality customer service while answering phones and responding accordingly to patients, nurses, and physicians.
Create and maintain patient profiles and prescription information to provide accurate and updated care to patients.
Processing refills and order changes
Insurance billing
Packaging and preparing medications for dispensing
Assisting the pharmacist with technical functions
Work interprofessionally with other healthcare professionals to troubleshoot prescription needs.
Comply with security measures and quality standards.
Perform additional duties as required or assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Current Active Nebraska Certified Pharmacy Technician License
Registered with the NE Board of Pharmacy
Desired Skills and Education:
Strong attention to detail
Pharmacy Data Entry experience is a plus but not required
Basic understanding of FrameworksLTC and ECM is a plus but not required
Ability to maintain professional composure in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
Prior experience and knowledge in data entry for pharmacy information systems.
Solid understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy practices, particularly in long term care environments is a plus
Able to stand/sit for periods of time
Mathematical skills including ability to calculate discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume; apply concepts of algebra to practical situations; interpret prescription quantities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
