We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations within a retail setting, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. The Certified Pharmacy Technician will utilize their skills in critical care, patient service, and aseptic technique to enhance patient care and contribute to overall pharmacy efficiency.
Responsibilities
Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to established protocols and regulations.
Assist pharmacists in managing medication inventory, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring expiration dates.
Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions regarding medications, dosage instructions, and potential side effects.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and ensure clarity in medication administration.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following aseptic techniques during the preparation of sterile products.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care initiatives and improve medication management processes.
Document all medication-related activities accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic is a must.
Accurately process, fill, and bag prescriptions in a timely manner.
Experience
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
Previous experience in a retail/hospital pharmacy setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with critical care environments is advantageous.
Strong related to medications and patient care.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
