Certified Nursing Assistant (hha) Home Care
Job Description
Summary: Provides personal care and light housekeeping assistance to patients in the home setting.
Education: High School education or equivalent.
Licensure: Must possess a current Rhode Island Certified Nursing Assistant license. CNA licensure in the State of Massachusetts required within 30 days of hire. BLS required. Active Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License.
Experience: At least one year in Home Care or comparable setting.
Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required; must be able to communicate via phone with clients and staff; able to organize several patient appointments each day taking into consideration location, patient preferences, productivity expectations and acuity; must be able to communicate any patient status changes or concerns in a timely fashion. Must be able to use an application, such as MapQuest, to locate patient care locations. Must be able to use the EMR to record visit details and communicate with other clinical staff and managers. Ability to work independently required.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Works in patients\xe2\x80\x99 homes with varying degrees of cleanliness. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist a 200 \xe2\x80\x93 250 pound patient using proper body mechanics. There is intermittent sitting, standing, walking, driving and stair climbing. Travels to and from patients\xe2\x80\x99 homes.
