We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed.
Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques.
Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards.
Record vital signs and medical history, update medical documentation, and manage electronic health records using Dentrix.
Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance using appropriate dental terminology.
Manage appointment scheduling as a dental receptionist when needed, ensuring efficient patient flow.
Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and treatment areas in accordance with infection control guidelines.
Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, understanding pediatric-specific protocols and anatomy knowledge.
Support general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialty procedures as part of comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
Familiarity with Dentrix.
Certification in X-ray processing and proficiency in chairside assisting techniques.
Ability to perform vital signs measurement and understand anatomy relevant to dentistry.
Strong infection control practices and aseptic technique adherence.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatments and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Base Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
