Position Summary / General Description:



Tamaya Ventures, a wholly owned enterprise of the

Pueblo of Santa Ana

, is seeking a visionary

President/CEO

with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in economic and business development. This role is central to advancing the Pueblo's economic growth while honoring Tribal sovereignty, values, and traditions.

The President/CEO will lead Tamaya Ventures' business development initiatives, including identifying strategic opportunities, managing mergers and acquisitions, cultivating partnerships, and expanding our enterprise portfolio. The ideal candidate is innovative, results-oriented, and community-minded--someone who embraces the "we can do this" spirit while respecting Pueblo culture and traditions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



Implement and oversee the

Tamaya Ventures Master Plan

, focusing on economic growth, new business development, and retention/expansion of existing profit centers on the Pueblo of Santa Ana. Develop and maintain strong relationships with the

Board of Directors, Tribal Council, Tribal members, developers, and local, state, and federal entities

to support the Pueblo's economic development goals. Conduct feasibility studies, financial analyses, and cost evaluations for proposed projects, providing clear and accurate recommendations to the Board. Develop and implement culturally-informed marketing and business development strategies to attract investment and enterprise opportunities to the Pueblo. Foster a positive development environment aligned with the Pueblo's vision, ensuring successful operations of all Tamaya Ventures enterprises. Support developers and business partners in complying with

Tribal, federal, and state laws and regulations

, while respecting Tribal sovereignty. Safeguard all Tamaya Ventures assets, ensure financial accountability, and promote sound business practices. Supervise staff and ensure operational excellence across all Tamaya Ventures business units. Coordinate with Tribal departments, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to advance project initiatives and enterprise goals. Represent Tamaya Ventures at Tribal and community meetings, Board meetings, and other relevant events. Submit timely monthly reports to the Board on operational, developmental, and financial performance. Approve expenditures in compliance with the accounting policy and inform the Board of all approved costs. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Board to further the Pueblo's economic development goals.

Education & Experience:



Bachelor's degree in

Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Technical Management

, or related field. Minimum of

10 years' progressive experience

in economic or business development, including mergers & acquisitions and complex financial/operational analysis. Experience managing multiple business structures, partnerships, or jurisdictions. Strong knowledge of business forecasting, asset valuation, budgeting, and quantitative analysis. Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.

Desired Qualifications:



Experience working with

Tribal Governments and Sovereign Nations

. Master's degree in Business Administration or related field. Minimum of

5 years' successful experience as President/CEO

. Proficiency or working knowledge of

Tamaya/Keresan language

preferred.

Skills & Competencies:



Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Competent in using social media and communication platforms for marketing and engagement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish strong working relationships. Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and commitment to the values and traditions of the Pueblo of Santa Ana.

Physical Requirements:



Ability to sit for extended periods. Occasionally lift/move up to 30-40 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, climb, and move around property or event sites as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:



Corporate office staff and managers of retail or operational divisions.

Work Environment:



Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork on Tribal lands, community events, or project sites.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
