Job Description

Position Summary:

The Central Supply Coordinator ensures the efficient management of medical and non-medical supplies across a 75-bed skilled nursing and intermediate care facility. This role is essential to maintaining high standards of resident care by supporting clinical and operational teams by maintaining adequate stock levels, ensuring timely deliveries, and adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Oversight

: Monitor stock levels of medical supplies, PPE, incontinence products, linens, and cleaning materials to meet the needs of residents and staff.

Procurement & Reordering

: Place orders with approved vendors, track deliveries, and ensure cost-effective purchasing aligned with budget guidelines.

Documentation & Compliance

: Maintain accurate records of inventory usage, purchase orders, and vendor communications. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Distribution & Stocking

: Organize and distribute supplies to nursing stations, treatment rooms, and other departments. Rotate stock to prevent expiration and waste.

Storage Management

: Keep supply rooms clean, organized, and compliant with infection control protocols.

Vendor Coordination

: Collaborates with suppliers to resolve issues, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.

Staff Collaboration

: Work closely with nursing and housekeeping teams to anticipate supply needs and respond to urgent requests.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required 1 year of experience preferred in central supply, inventory control, or healthcare logistics preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting. Ability to perform physical tasks related to stocking and organizing supplies. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of infection control and safety standards in healthcare environments. Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control. * Treat residents with dignity and respect and protects residents' rights.
