We are seeking a professional and reliable Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. This role involves route driving, load and unload duties, and ensuring timely delivery of freight across designated routes. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, a clean driving record, and experience with different truck types. Responsibilities
Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Drive assigned routes to deliver goods on time while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
Assist with securing cargo and ensuring proper weight distribution for safe transport.
Follow all safety procedures related to driving and cargo handling to prevent accidents or damages.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
Familiarity with operating various truck types such as flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo handling.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; previous experience with freight transportation is highly desirable.
Ability to operate specialized equipment like forklifts if required for loading or unloading cargo.
Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients. This position requires a dedicated individual committed to safe driving practices and efficient freight delivery across various routes using different types of trucks.
