Position Summary

Patriot Carriers, an Outdoor Living Supply company, is looking for a full-time Bulk Dump Trailer Driver in the Northeast US (Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland, New York and Connecticut). This full-time position is for someone who enjoys providing high quality customer service by assessing customers\' needs, remaining knowledgeable on products, and working in a team environment. The right candidate will have the ability to process orders and provide support to the customer service team when needed. This position offers a competitive hourly wage depending on qualifications and experience, and a full benefits program with PTO and paid holidays.

Primary Responsibilities

• Daily inspection of the truck (Pre-Trip inspection) and effectively communicating the results of this inspection to the mechanic, dispatcher, or your supervisor.
• Delivery of the product in a safe professional and timely manner, your dispatcher or manager will give you the priorities and an estimated time of delivery, usually within a 2-hour window. The driver is expected to communicate with the customer as best he/she can if they are going to be early or late from that window.
• Use the highest-level courtesy while driving, particularly in residential neighborhoods
• Maintaining the company truck which includes keeping it clean, knowing when the maintenance is due and notifying the proper people when it is. Pay special attention to load securement.
• Fueling and unloading your truck at the end of each day so that it is ready for the next business day.
• Ensuring all product deliveries are signed for and proof of delivery is turned in at the end of each day.
• Understanding the product and item numbers to not deliver the incorrect items or quantities.
• Maintain a professional and kind attitude, if there are any issues or concerns from the customer that you cannot satisfy in the immediate moment have them call the office.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Current CDL license and Medical Card
• Minimum of 1year CDL driving experience
• Knowledge of and experience filling out daily driver logs both manual and electronic
• Knowledge of how to perform a CDL truck Pre-Trip & Post Trip inspection per DOT regulations

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Able to occasionally lift 60 lbs.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs. repeatedly.
• Able to climb up to and down from the bed of the truck.
• Able to access engine compartment for checking fluids and inspection.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, utilizing legal on duty and driving hours, set by the FMCSA.

Salary range $70,000 - $90,000
