The Riverside Hotel is currently accepting applications and resumes for the following position:

CATERING SALES MANAGER

Wage commensurate with experience

Base salary + Bonus

Responsibilities to include:

The Catering Sales Manager meets or exceeds catering sales goals and sales solicitation goals each month by talking and meeting with customers to sell hotel function space. This position performs outside sales calls as well as inside telephone and personal contacts.

The Catering Sales Manager handles selected telephone, personal and written inquiries important to market development and ensures, where possible, leads are developed and passed along to the appropriate department for things such as group rooms. Develops quarterly plans and actions to address specific markets; local corporations, service and social clubs, professional and trade associations, civic groups and weddings and completes assignments requested by the Director of Sales.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must possess good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salesforce/Delphi or related computer experience an asset.
Demonstrates ability to perform multiple tasks in a high stress environment and be flexible.
Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
Must be a self motivating individual.
Demonstrates excellent time management skills.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
Previous sales experience (hotel sales experience preferred)
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Degree preferred but not required.
