Job Summary

As a

Catering Assistant

, you will support the preparation, setup, and service of meals for catering events and internal food service needs.

What You'll Do

Assist in preparing food items according to catering sheets, recipes, and event requests Follow proper portioning, measuring, and standardized utensil use Maintain food quality and freshness using batch cooking and proper storage methods Monitor and record food holding temperatures to ensure safety and quality Report food quality issues, shortages, expired products, or delivery concerns Support setup and breakdown of catering events, including organizing equipment and supplies Assist with training team members on safe and proper equipment use Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and prep area Complete required documentation and assist with catering-related computer tasks Work collaboratively with the team or independently depending on event needs Provide excellent service to guests, staff, and vendors

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or GED 1+ year of catering, banquet, or food service experience preferred Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures Ability to follow recipes, directions, and event service plans accurately Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform moderate physical tasks throughout a shift Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills

Reliable attendance and punctuality required*

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen*
Food Sanitation Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
