What you will do:

Builds the strategic vision for the market and defines the development priorities of the offering (sales revenue, margin, days of inventory on hand, turn rates) to successfully grow Hoffman business. Operationally, they define the sales and marketing action plan to grow the market share of the offering.

  • Product and Service Responsibility: Hoffman Enclosures, Hoffman Climate Control, and Hoffman Modification Center.
  • Develop a strategic plan to establish the product category portfolio assortment. Analyze market trends including customer demands, standards, vendors, sales channels trends, competitors, pricing, etc. Synthesize these elements into a multi-year business plan. Formulate the plan in projects, milestones, and actions and assure leadership on them.
  • Business Development Own the business and all aspects required to ensure successful growth. This position is the driver for all mutually agreed upon Hoffman growth initiatives. Identify new customers and grow share with existing customers. Perform individual and joint sales calls on end customers, OEM\'s, contractors, and system integrators to identify and close opportunities. Sales calls with Hoffman are required on target identified accounts.
  • Sales Support Manage Hoffman opportunity funnel in CRM to ensure the organization meets annual sales goals. Collaborate and leverage all necessary resources to close opportunities. Participate in monthly business and opportunity reviews with sales management and Hoffman team.
  • Establish vendor management best practices. Categorize the vendors (primary, secondary, etc.), define the levels of the offer (core, extended, etc.), and define the substitution and complementary tables between items. They also initiate proposals for potential owned or exclusive brands.
  • Analyze and optimize marketing performance. Analyze the performance of the portfolio and propose corrective plans to improve sales and profitability. Propose plans to sales teams and negotiation support from vendors.
  • Negotiate contract services with Hoffman. Establish which projects can support the achievements of year-end rebates, co-op funds, etc.. Define financial involvement of the vendors and negotiate them. Ensure vendor involvement and support of growing OneSource market share.
  • Collaborate with marketing and materials. Attend marketing meetings to bring expertise and ideas to develop market share. Oversee purchase spend to align with business targets of primary portfolio vendors. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to expose additional growth opportunities.
  • Deliver best in class customer experience. Assist OneSource teams in creating optimal customer experience through product education, market-level pricing, product data accuracy, services development, digital presence, etc. Work with key customers to understand customers\' wants and needs.
  • Continually improve product and market knowledge. Attend training courses, trade shows, industry events, best practice sessions, and other strategic planning activities to develop and maintain category expertise.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or high school diploma plus ten years of work-related experience
  • Minimum five years of product category experience
  • In-depth product category knowledge of solutions, suppliers, market share, competitive landscape, and market conditions
  • Experienced in marketing. Ability to create, execute, and measure a sales and marketing plan.
  • Advanced level in negotiation.
  • Understanding of category product files and market price levels.
  • Analytical skills, capacity to synthesize, and ability to teach.
  • Data driven.
  • Clear, concise, and convincing communicator with strong listening skills.
  • Easy adoption to new situations, people, culture, and technology by choosing the right skill set at the right moment and place.
  • Appropriately challenge the status quo; never satisfied and always looking for creative ways to improve.
  • Eagerness to learn and explore new topics and to apply new learnings that align with current business objectives.
  • Fluent in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Forms, Teams, and Outlook.

Location: This role is remote.

Work hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary Range:
  • This is an exempt position that pays $90,600 - $123,8666 annually. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
