We are looking for a Category Manager to work in Galesburg Michigan.
Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Category Manager - Fasteners and Springs supports the development and deployment of the global category strategy of Fasteners in GEIS as well as ES-APAC. In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, working capital, quality, delivery, resiliency, innovation, VAVE) for both businesses in the assigned categories by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the "One Supply Chain" philosophy.

• You will support development of and deploy strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners.
• You will negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships.
• You will review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Client SCM strategic directions.
• You will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for GEIS and ES-APAC. You will drive category performance towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, working capital, quality, delivery, resiliency, innovation, and VAVE) by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the "One Client" philosophy through collaboration with business stakeholders.
• You will plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
• You will lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually.
• You will identify potential financial / operational threats to the business and develop / deploy proactive supplier risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity.
• You will facilitate the cross-functional team in effectively managing financially distressed supplier situations with high visibility to senior leadership

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years' professional experience in Category Management or Procurement or a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations
• Ability to drive results via fact-based negotiations
