Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Caster to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality cast components by following established processes and specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Operate casting equipment and machinery to produce components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication. Utilize hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality control. Perform routine maintenance on casting equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Operate forklifts and cranes as needed for material handling and movement within the facility. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Skills



Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery including lathes and other machine tolls. Proficiency in blueprint reading to accurately follow specifications for production. Experience with fabrication and TIG welding techniques and processes. Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within the manufacturing environment. Competence in using hand tools effectively for various tasks related to casting production. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
