Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both non-profit and governmental accounting, as well as experience in public accounting. This role requires a deep understanding of financial concepts, regulatory reporting, and cash management to support our organization's mission.

Responsibilities



Manage all aspects of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting. Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and SOX regulations while maintaining accurate financial records. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial health. Oversee budgeting processes and forecasting to support strategic planning initiatives. Conduct account reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data through regular audits. Implement and maintain financial software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and regulatory reporting processes. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure adherence to internal controls. Lead a team of accounting professionals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial practices.

Experience



Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Casino Experience required (Does not have to be current, just at some point of your career) Proven experience in non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, or public accounting is highly desirable. Casino Experience required Strong knowledge of cash management principles and financial analysis techniques. Proficiency in financial report writing and general ledger reconciliation processes. Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and account analysis methodologies. Excellent understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles and debits & credits management. Experience with various accounting software platforms is essential; knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is a plus. Strong analytical skills coupled with a high level of financial acumen to drive informed decision-making within the organization. Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
