Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently processing transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive shopping experience will be key to our store's success.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

Duties

Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are processed efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns they may have. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure the store is well-organized and appealing. Utilize basic math skills to accurately calculate totals and provide change to customers. Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and assist in supervising new staff as needed.

Skills

Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively. Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cash register. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative when necessary. A commitment to providing excellent customer service at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.91 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week
