What you'll do

Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring a seamless checkout experience. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns they may have. Engage customers through effective merchandising and product demonstrations, showcasing the benefits of various items. Utilize your communication skills to upsell products and promote special offers, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves and ensuring products are readily available for customers. Handle cash transactions with precision, adhering to cash handling protocols to ensure accuracy in all financial dealings. Assist in supervising junior staff members when needed, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on success.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is highly desirable. Strong understanding of basic math and retail math principles to manage transactions effectively. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus, providing insight into customer needs and preferences.
