Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Food Service Worker to join our team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food environment. This role involves handling transactions, food preparation, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a positive experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a quick service or fast food setting.

Responsibilities

Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling Prepare and serve food items according to safety and quality standards, including basic food preparation and food safety practices Manage cashier duties including taking orders, processing payments, and providing change with accuracy using POS systems Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces following health regulations Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a clean environment for customers Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction Follow proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure food safety compliance Support team members in various tasks such as serving, food prep, or kitchen duties as needed

Experience

Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with food industry standards including food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols is advantageous Experience with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus but not mandatory; training will be available Strong skills in basic math, cash handling, sales techniques, upselling, and retail math are beneficial Prior restaurant or cafe experience involving serving or cashiering roles is highly desirable Ability to manage time efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining high-quality service standards

Pay: $17.87 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 - 35.0 per week
