Duties

Greet guests warmly and process their orders efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accuracy in transactions and cash handling. Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash handling, credit card processing, and providing correct change. Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations. Serve as a Food Runner by delivering hot meals from the kitchen to tables promptly while maintaining food quality and presentation. Support the kitchen team with basic food prep tasks such as assembling orders or bussing tables to keep the dining area clean and organized. Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities by suggesting popular dishes or specials to guests. Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment by following proper sanitation procedures during food handling and serving. Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient restaurant flow during busy periods, demonstrating strong time management skills.

Skills

Proven experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math that demonstrates accuracy in cash handling and basic math skills. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude that creates welcoming interactions for guests. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards within quick service or fast-food environments. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities seamlessly during busy hours. Experience with upselling menu items to increase sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction. Basic understanding of sanitation practices, food handling procedures, and kitchen safety protocols. Previous restaurant experience or background working in cafes or grocery stores is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
