About Us

Locals Food Hub & Pizza Pub is a unique business model combining both a locally sourced wood-fired pizza counter service operation with a retail grocery market that only sources from Kentucky producers. We are dedicated to increasing access to locally produced, nutrient rich foods to all members of our community, especially those who have been traditionally underserved and in so doing, helping support our local farming community by offering a viable and consistent market for their goods. We are a fast-casual dining establishment that prides itself on serving fresh, locally sourced ingredients in our wood-fired pizzas, salads, and appetizers. Almost everything we make is from scratch or in house, all of our beer and wine are sourced from Kentucky craft producers and the retail grocery carries only products sourced from local Kentucky farms. We are seeking a friendly and reliable customer service representative to join our team as a cross-trained Pizza Pub Counter Attendant and Grocery Market Attendant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a keen attention to detail, and an appreciation for quality, locally sourced food. All while being able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly attitude, answer questions about the menu, and provide information about our mission and locally sourced ingredients. Order Processing: Take orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted. Cash Handling: Manage cash transactions, process credit/debit card payments, and handle any refunds or exchanges in accordance with company policies. Food Service: Assist in serving food to customers, ensuring orders are accurate and always quality. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the POS area and dining tables, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operation and prompt service during peak hours. Inventory Management: Monitor and restock supplies as needed, and communicate any shortages to management. Customer Satisfaction: Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications

Previous experience in a cashier, server, or POS attendant role is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player! Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. A passion for locally sourced, sustainable food is a plus.
