We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting store operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail or grocery environments. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. This position is essential in creating a welcoming shopping experience and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales and returns Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and securely Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays Support inventory management through stocking and inventory checks Provide product information and answer customer inquiries via phone or in person Assist with cashiering duties during busy periods or as needed Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming Support store team with supervising tasks when required, including training new staff

Skills

Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and sales goals Experience in retail sales, merchandising, and stock management Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally Bilingual skills are preferred to serve a diverse clientele effectively Demonstrated supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous for this role Ability to upsell products tactfully to increase sales revenue
