Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer experiences, managing transactions accurately, and supporting store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems, retail sales, and cashiering is preferred, along with the ability to assist customers effectively and promote products through upselling and product demos.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns Manage cashier duties including scanning items, processing payments, and giving accurate change Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities Maintain clean and organized checkout areas while adhering to store policies on phone etiquette and customer interactions. Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills for cash handling and transactions Strong communication skills with a professional phone etiquette Ability to work efficiently in a busy cafe Basic math skills necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing A friendly attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to ensure positive customer interactions. this is essential!
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 32 per week
