Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all patrons.

Duties

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving any issues that arise. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Assist in merchandising products and maintaining an organized sales floor. Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-stocked and displays are appealing. Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer engagement. Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer calls and addressing their concerns. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the store and assist in supervising junior staff as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in cashiering or restraunt is preferred. Familiarity with basic math and retail math principles for accurate transaction processing. Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
