Duties

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Assist with product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement. Upsell products when appropriate to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising displays. Stock shelves and assist with inventory management as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer experiences. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.

Qualifications

Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience in supervising staff is a plus for potential leadership opportunities. Knowledge of merchandising techniques to effectively display products. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A positive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
