Nature of Work in this Position: The primary responsibility of this position is to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties to include greeting and directing members to proper departments. The incumbent serves as the "face" of the company for all visitors and is responsible for the first impression made.
Illustrative Examples of Work:
Opens the door before 8:00am, greets and directs members to proper department.
Receive and posts collections. On a daily basis, close and reconcile collections posted to the Health, Property and Casualty, and Accounting systems.
Prepare daily collection reports including the deposit slip(s).
Scans health plans collections and update schedule required by the Enrollment Department.
Receives claims and release checks to providers and members.
Prepares monthly claim recovery collections report.
Balances cash box at the end of day.
Performs related duties as required. (Related duties are duties that may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but that are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's class of work.)

Strong verbal and written communication.
Attention to detail and quality focused.
Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
Ability to use a credit card terminal machine.
Minimum Experience and Training:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
A high school diploma or equivalent;
Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year work experience as a cashier or receptionist;
Knowledgeable in the use of Sage, AS/400 and Applied System a plus;
Proficient in the use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); and
Computer literate (Windows).
