Duties

Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, providing friendly and professional service at all times Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise Maintain the cleanliness and organization of checkout areas and displays Upsell products by suggesting relevant items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability

Qualifications

Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally over the phone Demonstrated ability to supervise or assist team members in a retail environment is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail math is beneficial but not mandatory
