The Housing Stability Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting individuals and families experiencing housing instability. This position combines direct service coordination with property management oversight to ensure safe, sustainable housing solutions. The manager works closely with tenants, community agencies, and internal teams to deliver high-quality support and maintain operational excellence across commercial and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Coordination & Advocacy
Advocate for individuals to access necessary services and supports
Maintain monthly contact and provide comprehensive service coordination
Facilitate service planning meetings and communicate expectations
Assess individual strengths and needs through interviews and case reviews
Evaluate service effectiveness and collaborate with relevant parties
Property Management Operations
Assist the Executive Director in Management in all departmental operations
Maintain detailed knowledge of lease and association documents, including tenant responsibilities
At least once per month, update management reports by compiling data from accounting, leasing, and property records
Oversee property maintenance: track tenant concerns, obtain quotes, coordinate contractors, and ensure completion
Manage contractor selection and tenant concerns related to contracted services
Conduct site visits and inspect properties and tenant spaces as needed
Schedule, coordinate, and attend association meetings; record minutes for Board meetings
Track service contracts, utility meters, and billing for commercial properties
Handle collection of past-due accounts, including legal filings and hearing attendance
Relationship Management & Communication
Build and maintain relationships with individuals, families, and support networks
Serve as the primary resource for tenants and community members
Communicate daily with property management team, tenants, boards, and owners
Liaise with municipalities and insurance companies as needed
Administrative & Compliance
Prepare and process tenant mailings: meeting notices, payment reminders, policy updates, welcome letters, and complaints
Track certificates of insurance and preventative maintenance contracts to ensure compliance
Collaborate with accounting to maintain accurate tenant statements and database records
Manage key card access systems for properties
Maintain accurate records of all service activities and ensure culturally competent service delivery
Participate in on-call service rotation and complete other tasks as assigned
Training & Community Engagement
Attend training programs to stay current with best practices
Foster a cooperative agency culture and contribute to team projects
Coordinate mental health services as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
Promote collaborative service planning and maintain a catalog of community resources
Encourage recovery-oriented practices and community inclusion
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
Experience in housing services, property management, or case coordination preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across service and property domains
Familiarity with lease documents, legal proceedings, and commercial property operations is a plus

Pay: $20.40 - $26.97 per hour
