This position provides
Case Management
on an assigned caseload and includes all child support services for enforcement of child support and medical support. Case management duties include locating absent parents and their employers or assets; enforcement of child support and medical support obligations; gathering information needed to conduct a review of child support and medical support obligations; reconciling and managing child support accounts; negotiating payment plans; completing daily assignments in a timely and accurate manner; carefully documenting all case related activity in the case file; and providing customer service to the public. Must be able to explain complex issues in a way that is easy to understand. General knowledge of the operation of a personal computer, with specific knowledge of work processing and spreadsheet software is needed.

To be considered you
are required to have a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, criminal justice, social work, psychology, or paralegal/legal assistant (at the bachelor's degree level). Or a bachelor's degree in another field and one year of work experience as a collections officer, eligibility worker in a county social service office, law enforcement officer, clerk of court with responsibility related to child support collections, legal assistant that includes conducting research and investigations, or other experience that includes conducting investigations. Or an associate degree in paralegal/legal assistant and three years of the work experience as listed above. Additional child support work experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
