Typical Case Manager Duties
Teaching individualized parenting and adult life skills
Conducting supervised visits for children in foster care
Delivering in-home safety services and monitoring risk factors
Performing client intakes and assessments
Developing and monitoring individualized service plans
Coordinating with schools, healthcare providers, and community resources
Attending MDTs and court hearings when necessary
Maintaining timely, accurate documentation and submitting required reports
Providing advocacy and linkage to supportive services
Monitoring client progress and addressing service barriers
Education Requirements
A
bachelor's degree or higher in a human services-related field is required.
Degrees considered human services-related include:
Social Work
Psychology
Sociology
Counseling
Criminal Justice
Human Services
Education
Nursing or other Health Sciences
Other similar degrees may be accepted if relevant to direct client support and case management.
