Lewis Barbecue is bringing our award-winning Texas-style barbecue to Atlanta, and we're building a strong, skilled opening team. Our

Slicers

play a crucial role behind the line -- slicing and serving our signature smoked meats, keeping the line moving, and guiding guests through their order with excellent hospitality.

You won't be the first point of contact for guests, but you will interact with every single one, helping them make choices, portioning their meats, and delivering a confident, friendly experience at the cutting block.

What You'll Do

Slice brisket, turkey, pork, sausage, and other smoked meats to order Guide guests through the ordering process and answer menu questions Maintain portion accuracy and consistency Communicate clearly with coworkers to keep the line flowing Handle knives and carving tools safely and confidently (we can train the right person) Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized Assist with prep for daily service, including trimming, sorting, stocking, and labeling meats Work quickly and efficiently during high-volume rushes

This is a messy job

-- you will get smoky, saucy, and greasy. It's all part of the fun.

Pay Structure

This is a

Base Hourly Rate:

$4.00/hr

Average Hourly (including tips):

$25-$40/hr

Actual earnings vary by shift and volume.

Physical Requirements

Standing and walking for

6-8+ hours

per shift Lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 40 lbs Working in warm, high-energy environments Fast, efficient multitasking -- slicing, talking, stocking, and moving simultaneously Maintaining accuracy and speed during long lines

Who Thrives Here

we're happy to train someone willing to learn

High-volume restaurant experience preferred, but not required with the right attitude

Schedule

AM Shifts:

9:30/10:15 AM - 4:00 PM (at the latest)

PM Shifts:

2:45/4:00 PM - 11:30 PM
