Must be willing to work 80% of events in Carver-Hawkeye Arena (home basketball and wrestling matches, concerts, etc.)



Summary


Join the dynamic and customer-focused team at BEST Crowd Management as an Event Services Staff member. As a part of our Event Services and Security Staff, you will be an essential part of creating memorable experiences for event attendees. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting event attendees with a friendly and helpful demeanor. Assist with event set-up, including equipment arrangement, signage placement, and other tasks as assigned. Monitor event areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with venue policies. Answer questions and provide information about the event, facilities, and amenities to attendees. Direct attendees to appropriate locations, such as seating areas, restrooms, concession stands, and exits. Handle and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with event staff, vendors, and other team members to ensure smooth event operations. Assist with crowd control measures, as necessary, to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to uphold a high standard of professionalism and service excellence.

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary depending on local regulations). Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (some college education is preferred). Previous experience in event security, law enforcement, or a related field is advantageous. Possess strong physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Exhibit excellent observational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Work effectively in a team and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Possess a valid security license or be willing to obtain one (if required by local regulations). Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
