Location: Carthage, MS
Position: Refrigeration Maintenance
Shift: 3rd Shift

Pay Grade: RF05U $24.20/hr
Shift Pay: $1.00/hr

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining the refrigeration units in the plant and on the roof of the plant. This position will diagnose and repair any problems that arise with the refrigeration units.

This position is responsible for but not limited to:

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and handle any work orders to include electrical, welding, fabricating, trouble shooting and general repairs of lines, conveyors and machines.
• This position also includes making rounds and documenting system conditions (i.e. temperatures, pressure, inspections, etc.) and maintaining acceptable tolerance ranges.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings, sketches, prints, etc. that are related to the maintenance and repair of processing equipment.
• This position requires that the team member to be in any part of the plant that has refrigeration and also on the roof where the actual refrigeration units are located.
• Must be willing to work in outside temperatures ranging from cold to hot and be exposed to exterior environment occasionally which may include rain, snow, wind, etc. Can be dusty, damp, humid, wet, with a high concentration of allergens.
• Must be willing to stand for 8 to 12 hours a day and grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend and stoop occasionally.
• Must be willing to lift in excess of 40 lbs., climb stairs and ladders. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors orally and in writing.

Safety Equipment:

• This position requires the use of personal protective equipment including hair net, beard net, smock, boots, rubber gloves and hearing protection.
• Must be willing to stay clean shaved/Wear Respirator.

EXPIERENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant must have a minimum of 6 months of refrigeration work experience documented in work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance/refrigeration training program. (Can be a combination of employers if experience is at least 6 months.)

Rehire Consideration:

• 365 days (1 year) waiting period
• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be consider for hire

Team Members currently working at this facility will be considered first for this position
