CARRIER SALES: LOUISIANA - REMOTE
A well-established 3PL has created a Carrier Sales (also called Carrier Procurement) Rep position that is remote for candidates in Louisiana. As a Carrier Sales Rep, you will find truckers using existing ones, finding new trucking companies, for their truck brokerage operation, and establish a good working relationship with existing carriers and customer problem resolution. You must have experience in the Texas area border crossing into Mexico.
EMPLOYEE DUTIES:
- \xc2\xb7 You are remote in your home office in LA. You will be responsible for calling & qualifying carriers to meet company safety & compliance standards for their freight business.
- \xc2\xb7 Negotiate transportation rates, issue rate confirmations and dispatch freight.
- \xc2\xb7 Develop carrier relationships to secure freight coverage options using a pre-qualified carrier database, adding new ones, or by posting to load boards.
- \xc2\xb7 Develop customer relationships and customer problem resolution.
- \xc2\xb7 Perform track & trace functions to ensure on-time deliveries to customers.
- \xc2\xb7 Report business account activities.
\xc2\xb7 AAS degree minimum
\xc2\xb7 Familiar with USDOT HOS regulations.
\xc2\xb7 Experience in TX area border crossing into Mexico.
\xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 years\' experience working with carriers & some inside customer service.
\xc2\xb7 Experience with the US domestic transportation in an operations setting.
PAY / BENEFITS:
