Job Description
Description: Employees who serve in the carpentry laborer position assist with job site tasks assigned by the Construction Supervisor as they pertain to carpentry and construction duties. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Framing of walls, ceilings, and roofs on commercial and residential structures
- Create material lists as needed
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work
- Desire to learn new skills
- Physical strength and endurance
- Hand-eye coordination
- Concentration on tasks
- Ability to understand and communicate well
- Ability to use necessary tools and machinery
- Full compliment of hand tools used in framing and finish
- Self-motivated and want to produce your best work with a positive team attitude
- Portray integrity to do what is right and accepting the responsibility for your actions
- Know how to install fixtures and fittings, such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
- Minimum of 10 years\' experience of carpentry, framing and setting finish
- Knowledge of machinery and tools used in the construction industry ad know how to use them safely
- Experience framing walls, ceilings, and roofs
