Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a 's Helper/Apprentice. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction and restoration industry while working alongside skilled professionals. The apprentice will assist with various tasks related to carpentry, construction, and restoration projects, providing an excellent opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in various construction tasks including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and cabinet installation Support the installation of fixtures, doors, and siding Help with concrete forming, plastering, and rebar installation Participate in roofing projects and water damage restoration efforts Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor as needed on-site Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

Prior experience in construction or the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory Familiarity with construction estimating, woodworking, and fabrication techniques is a plus Knowledge of various construction methods including masonry, plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, and metal stud framing is beneficial Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced professionals Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time on construction sites A proactive attitude with good problem-solving skills

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
