Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks on residential, commercial, and restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site. This position offers opportunities for hands-on experience across multiple facets of carpentry and construction, contributing to high-quality project completion.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, assemble, and install various building components using hand tools and power tools Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute project plans accurately Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, siding, roofing, and drywall work Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, and water damage restoration tasks Conduct demolition, site cleanup, and preparation for construction or restoration projects Fabricate custom components as needed for specific projects Assist in remodeling, renovation, and restoration projects including plastering, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinetry Operate machinery such as CNC equipment when necessary for fabrication tasks Heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely throughout the workday Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment

Experience

Prior experience in construction or related fields such as remodeling, restoration industry experience, or handyman work is preferred Knowledge of various construction disciplines including framing (metal stud or wood), roofing, electrical systems, plumbing, and masonry is advantageous Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is essential for precise project execution Experience with water damage remediation or mold remediation is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools (including CNC machines), scaffolding setup, and fabrication processes Demonstrated ability to work on construction sites with adherence to safety standards Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to adapt to changing project needs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.38 - $31.77 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
