ubstance (CARES) is a project led by the Patient Engagement Studio. The CARES Center Coordinator will lead the day-to-day operations of the CARES Center, focusing on enhancing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) research and interventions for LGBTQ+ populations. The Center Coordinator will support the project's goal of building capacity for patient-responsive SUD research and improving care for sexual and gender minorities (SGM). The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating research initiatives, engaging diverse stakeholders, and managing grant-related tasks in public health or community-based settings.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Bachelor's degree in health sciences, public health, or social science related field.
Experience working with Sexual and Gender Minority populations.
Prior experience managing federally funded grants or large-scale research projects.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI.
General knowledge of research processes.
Knowledge of administrative and business management principles, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of the rules and regulations of administrative/business activities of the organization.
Ability to formulate and implement administrative policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Good organization and time management.

Facilitate communication among project team members, collaborators, and stakeholders.
Coordinate and organize research activities, including stakeholder meetings, focus groups, and training sessions for the Virtual Patient (ViP) Engagement Panel.
Oversee the competitive funding process for pilot research projects under the initiative.
