We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with various tasks and activities to enhance their daily lives. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Lift and transfer individuals as required, using proper body mechanics
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Administer first aid when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with household chores and light housekeeping duties
- Accompany individuals to appointments or social outings
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
Experience:
- Previous experience in patient care or direct support is preferred
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial
- Experience in home care, hospice care, or nursing is advantageous
